Thomas D. Gotowka says
Clearly, it’s not yet time to declare a win. Looking broadly across the state, CT just reported a daily positivity rate of 3.38%.
Note that the state’s daily positivity rate, which had essentially remained below 2% for most of last month, has steadily climbed toward 3% and above in recent weeks. CT’s weekly positivity rate now stands at 2.98%, the highest it has been since Sept. 20.
At the same time, Litchfield, New Haven, New London and Windham counties reported “high” levels of COVID transmission as defined by the CDC, while Fairfield, Hartford, Middlesex and Tolland counties had “substantial” levels of transmission.
We need to be prudent during the holidays.
