9:50PM UPDATE:  Wildcats Win 3-0!!  Now the girls advance to the state final on Saturday. GO WILDCATS!!!

The Lyme-Old Lyme High School girls soccer team takes on #11 seeds Terryville in the CIAC Class S state semi-final tonight at 7 p.m. at Falcon Field in Meriden.  A win would take the Wildcats, who are seeded second, into the final for the second time in as many years where they potentially could meet perennial local rival Old Saybrook, who play Portland in the other semifinal in Middletown tonight.

Coach Paul Gleason’s girls are defending Class S co-champions after drawing 2-2 with Notre-Dame Fairfield in the final last year.  The Wildcats reached the semifinal on Friday after defeating Coventry 2-0 in the quarterfinal played in Old Lyme.

Go Wildcats!
