Five Old Lyme Track & Field Athletes Awarded All-New England Honors

Lyme-Old Lyme High School Senior Dylan Sheehan took 4th place in the All-England discus contest.

OLD LYME/BANGOR, MAINE — On Saturday, June 10, the following Lyme-Old Lyme High School athletes earned All-New England Honors during the New England Championship track meet held in Bangor, Maine:

Senior Dylan Sheehan took 4th place in the discus contest.

Lyme-Old Lyme High School Freshman Chase Gilbert came in 4th place in the All-England 3200 meter race.

Freshman Chase Gilbert came in 4th place in the 3200m race.

Seniors Maddy Morgado, Lyla Powers, Kate Walsh, and Gilbert came in 6th place in the 4×800 race.

Lyme-Old Lyme High School Seniors Maddy Morgado, Lyla Powers, Kate Walsh, and Freshman Chase Gilbert finished in 6th place in the 4×800 race.

Obtaining these honors is an incredible achievement for athletes from one of the smallest high schools in Connecticut competing in open contest with other high school athletes from throughout New England.

Hearty congratulations to these amazing Lyme-Old Lyme athletes!
