OLD LYME — On Thursday, March 3, from 7 to 8 p.m., Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau (LYSB) hosts a Zoom presentation titled, Current Drug Trends on the CT Shoreline.
There has been a significant increase in opiate overdoses both in Lyme and Old Lyme, and throughout Connecticut in the past two years.
Join LYSB to learn more about current drug trends from representatives of the New England High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program (HIDTA). This will enable the LOL community to stay up-to-date, aware, and ready to enhance efforts to support the safety and well-being of our towns.
Hear about drug trends, terminology, paraphernalia, and influences of drug culture on our children.
The presenters will be Robert Lawlor Jr, Drug Intelligence Officer, New England High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program (HIDTA) and Anna Gasinski, Public Health Analyst New England HIDTA/ORS/CDCF.
This program is free and open to the public. Register at this link to obtain the Zoom access information.
