LYME/OLD LYME — As previously announced, we have removed all Letters to the Editor from our homepage and they are all now published on our Letters page in the order in which they were received.
We will continue to publish any further letters received before our final deadline of Sunday, Oct. 31, at midnight, on our Letters page only.
Any Letters received after midnight on Sunday will not be published.
Thank you or sending in so many Letters to the Editor, which raised a wide variety of issues. We hope they are helping readers with their election decisions.
Charlotte Scot says
There is an elephant in the room. Yes, in this case the elephant happens to be Republican.
“In a new national Quinnipiac University poll 76% of self-identified Republicans said they believe there was “widespread fraud in the 2020 election.”
Yes, three in four Republicans believe the election was rigged.
Do the Republicans running for office in Old Lyme also believe this?
If they do believe that the 2020 election was fraudulent, do they believe our election on Tuesday will also be fraudulent?
Will they accept the results?
Do Old Lyme Republicans believe, like President Trump that our democracy is corrupt and the former President was re-elected?
The answer to these questions affects every woman, man and child in our community and I feel we need to know.
Thank you,
