LYME/OLD LYME — When the polls opened at 6 a.m. at Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School, the line soon developed to having an hour wait-time. The line itself stretched all the way from the side door of the middle school gym all the way round to Center School. All the reports we received were that the line remained in good humor despite the wait.

Lyme, in contrast, had no line initially but then one built up later.

Best sign of the day, see below, was sent to us by John Kiker from Middlefield!
We arrived at the Middle School few minutes past seven and the line was about 125 yards long. We moved along slowly and steadily; and, once inside the gym, we were very impressed with the organization of the actual voting process, and the rapid re-disinfection of the touch points. The staff members were all cool, calm, and collected. Back home by 7:45.
