OLD LYME — The Old Lyme Visiting Nurse Association (OLVNA) will offer a free, no insurance required, drive-through flu shot clinic Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lyme-Old Lyme High School. This clinic is for residents of Lyme and Old Lyme only, who are aged 18 or over.
Each person requesting a vaccine must complete a Consent Form giving their name and address.
The OLVNA will not be giving the high dose vaccines but reminds readers that those are generally covered by insurance
Masks are required, but if you do not have one, one will be provided.
The OLVNA is working with Ledge Light Health District, the Medical Reserve Corps and Old Lyme’s Emergency Management Department.
Is this for residents of all ages? Is there aminimum age a resudent must be to receive a flu shot? Can children receive a flu shot on the 10th at LOLHS?
We have forwarded this question to the OLVNA, Kristin. We’ll let you know their response.
The OLVNA has now confirmed to us that this clinic is only for adults aged 18 and over. We have updated our post accordingly.
