October 3, 2020 by Admin

LYME/OLD LYME — Old Lyme defeated Morgan 0f Clinton with a resounding 2-0 win Thursday, Oct. 2, in their opening game of the season.

Both teams were scoreless at half-time.

Then in the second half, after a handball by a Morgan defender in the penalty box, Lyme-Old Lyme senior Emily Deroehn took the penalty and put the ball in the back of the net.

The Wildcats second goal was scored on a follow-up after a shot by sophomore Maddie McCullouch bounced off the post.

Sam Grey made seven saves in goal for the Wildcats.

Old Lyme is 1-0-0.
