Jerry Hobert says
Hi John, I just read your great article about Woodstock! I too was 15 back in August 1969 and was one of the thousands that never made it. I was kicked off Rte. 95 three times while hitchhiking there from Groton Long Point and was told by the Ct. State Police that I’d be arrested if they caught me again! I did make it to Watkins Glen in July of 1973 where there was approximately 550,000 hippies, and again no trouble, pretty cool! I now live in Noank. “Peace” has been my calling card since then. Peace Mr., Jerry Hobert
