Starting today, curbside pick-up of residential recycling (green container) in Old Lyme moves to a weekly schedule. Trash (blue container) collection continues on its already existing weekly schedule.
Residents should have containers curbside by 6 a.m. on their assigned day. Containers should be three feet away from any other objects, such as mailboxes, cars, other containers, planters, etc. Do not block a breakdown/emergency lane with receptacle. Clearly mark your address on recycling and trash receptacles to avoid mix up, removal or displacement of cans.
If you miss your scheduled pick-up, you can take your trash or recycling to the Transfer Station on Four Mile River Rd.
Return trips are not possible if your cans are not curbside and you miss the pick-up.
