At a recent gathering in Lyme, Kevin C. “K.C.” Mazer was honored for his 36 years of dedicated service to the Town of Lyme Planning and Zoning Commission. In addition to serving on that commission, K.C. contributed his time and talent to the following organizations: The Lyme Affordable Housing Committee since 1996, the Connecticut River Gateway Commission since 1975, and the Republican Town Committee since 1981.
Mazer also donated his services by grading and preparing the area for the Lyme School Playscape in 1982, and contributing contracting goods and services toward the expansion of the Lyme Library in 1985.
He was awarded the “Field of Dreams” plaque in 1991 from the Lyme Park and Recreation Commission for resurfacing the Lyme School baseball field. In addition, he donated services to High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Inc., Hartman Park, and Child and Family Services. Mazer also served as a Trustee of Essex Savings Bank since 1999.
At the gathering, Lyme First Selectman Ralph Eno presented Mazer with an Official Citation from the State of Connecticut General Assembly, made possible through the efforts of State Representative Marilyn Giuliano (R-23rd.)
The Town of Lyme is proud to recognize K.C. Mazer for his extraordinary record of public service.
