The daughter of James Morgan Seward and Ina Gwyn Storey Seward, Emily Boro was the Director of Editorial Operations at the New England Journal of Medicine and the Managing Editor of M.D. Computing.
Ms. Boro raised her family in West Newton, Mass., and retired to Old Lyme, Conn., to a life with her husband, dear friends, books, bridge, cats, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. She lived through a difficult last year with cancer with grace, love and humor.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, the sculptor Gilbert V. Boro, her sons Alex and Jason Boro, her daughters-in-law Elizabeth Gaffney and Neerja Sharma, her beloved grandchildren, Lucy, Willa and Kareena, her sister Gwyn Singer, and her nephews Ian McCary and Greg and Cliff Boro.
Her family and wonderful friends grieve the loss of a generous, beautiful woman of keen insight, kind words and tremendous dry wit.
