Hadlyme Public Hall Presents ‘Coastal CT as a Maritime Culture: A History in 12 Objects,’ June 8

May 27, 2025 by Admin

LYME, CT—On Sunday, June 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Hadlyme Public Hall hosts Michael P. Dyer, who will present a talk titled, “‘Coastal Connecticut as a Maritime Culture: A History in Twelve Objects.’

Southeastern Connecticut played an outsized role in America’s maritime history from the country’s earliest days through shipbuilding, whaling and fishing.

Mystic Seaport Museum’s Curator of Maritime History, Michael P. Dyer, will talk about our maritime history and highlight twelve objects that offer evidence of that story.

This will be an informative presentation for experts and amateurs alike. All are welcome and admission is free.

Hadlyme Public Hall is at 63 Ferry Road at the intersection of Joshuatown and Day Hill Roads in Lyme.
