OLD LYME—On Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m., the Old Lyme Historical Society Incorporated (OLHSI) hosts authors Amy Nawrocki and Eric D. Lehman, who will give a presentation titled, Connecticut Confections: a Sweet History.
Nawrocki and Lehman are the co-authors of A History of Connecticut Food.
They will tempt the taste buds while talking about centuries of desserts and dishes from the Nutmeg State. From molasses to the Mounds bar, from puddings to Pez, the history of Connecticut food has never tasted so sweet!
Reception to follow with samples of some delicious Connecticut Confections!
The event will take place at the Society’s building at 55 Lyme St. in Old Lyme. All are welcome and admission is free.
This is the first in a new series of speaker events sponsored by the OLHSI.
Donations are welcome for the Carol Noyes Winters Scholarship Fund.
