OLD LYME — Phoebe’s BookCellar hosts a ‘Fill-A-Bag’ Book Sale, Friday, Feb. 16, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Old Lyme-Phoebe Griffin Noyes (OL-PGN) on Library Lane.
BookCellar volunteers have moved the bookstore’s gently-used overstock books, DVDs and CDs to the OL-PGN Library’s Community Room for the sale.
Customers can buy grocery bags for $5 each and fill them with as much as they will hold. The reusable bags have been generously donated to the BookCellar by Big Y.
There is a large selection of both fiction and nonfiction from which to to choose. This is a great opportunity for customers to stock up on quality used books and thus make room on the BookCellar’s shelves for new donations. All book genres will be available, including children’s books.
Cash or checks will be accepted and, as always, all proceeds from the sale benefit the OL-PGN Library.
In addition to the sale in the Community Room, the BookCellar will be open on the lower level of the Library for sales at its regular low prices.
