OLD LYME — Ann Bliss of Old Lyme, passed away reluctantly at the overly ripe age of 89, Dec. 7, 2022. Old age adds tone to violins and subtlety to fine wine, but eventually frays even the most mirthful soul who dearly loves life …
… she was a faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine from 1970 to 1996, where she played a key role in the national establishment of the physician assistant profession … An active member of the Connecticut Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology, she continued a private practice of psychotherapy until her death.
She leaves four stepchildren, … Her beloved husband, the Rev. William Bliss, predeceased her in 2002.
