Old Lyme’s PGN Library Presents Talk on History, Current Status of American Chestnut Tree, Wednesday

OLD LYME — On Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m., the Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library will host a presentation on the history and current status of the American Chestnut and ongoing efforts to restore this iconic species to its native forests.  

Jack Swatt and Jack Ostroff, who are respectively president and treasurer of the CT Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation, will also discuss past and ongoing endeavors to pollinate this special tree on the grounds of the library.
