Old Lyme Republicans’ Annual Picnic on This Afternoon Features Statewide Candidates, 9/11 Tribute

September 11, 2022 by Admin

Republican candidate for governor Bob Stefanowski speaks with State Representative Devin Carney (23rd) at the 2021 OLRTC picnic.

OLD LYME — “Sunset on the Sound,” the annual picnic hosted by the Old Lyme Republican Town Committee (OLRTC), brings Republican candidates for statewide office to Griswold Point in Old Lyme on Sunday, Sept. 11.

This family-friendly “grand old party” features a traditional barbecue, silent auction, live music, and a moving 9/11 tribute honoring first responders — as well as a chance to meet the candidates.

All are welcome to attend Sunday’s RTC picnic.

Scheduled to appear at the picnic are gubernatorial candidate Bob Stefanowski; Leora Levy, candidate for US Senate; Mike France, running for the 2nd district seat in the US Congress; current 23rd District State Representative Devin Carney; and state senate hopeful Jerry Labriola, among others.

Congressional candidate Mike France talks with supporters at the 2021 picnic.

Come visit with your Old Lyme neighbors; savor a delicious barbecue meal; and enjoy spectacular views of Long Island Sound.

“Sunset on the Sound” takes place (rain or shine) on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, from 3 to 6:30 pm. Tickets are $50 per person (children 13 and under free) and may be purchased online at www.OldLymeRTC.org, or at the door.
