LYME — The traditional Ice Cream Social fundraiser at the Lyme Public Hall is being held Saturday evening, Aug. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
For $10, you can savor a slice of homemade pie made by talented community bakers, along with a generous scoop of premium ice cream from local favorite Salem Valley Farms.
Enjoy these treats, meet some friendly neighbors and tap your toes to the music of Dan & Dave from Java Groove in the air-conditioned Public Hall — what better way to spend a summer evening?
This event is sponsored by the Lyme Public Hall & Local History Archives, Inc. and all proceeds from the event will benefit the organization.
This Ice Cream Social is a throwback to the early 20th century when the Hall sponsored many such gatherings for the community.
The Lyme Public Hall is located at 249 Hamburg Rd. (Rte. 156) in Lyme, Conn. For more information, visit www.lymepublichall.org
