OLD LYME — There are two special events happening at Old Lyme’s Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library today. Both offer free admission.
First at 11 a.m., Senegalese dancer Abdou Sarr will give a West African-themed dance performance and then at 6;30 p.m., Estuary magazine’s Creative Director Chris Zajac and Publisher Dick Shriver will host an open conversation about how to take great photos .
Dance Performance
Sarr’s performance will run from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. He is well known for his Sabar and Djembe dances from West Africa. His infectious smile and incredible dancing skills bring high energy to his dance routine and also encourage children of all ages to participate.
Registration is appreciated at this link, but not required. Walk-ins are welcome.
Focus on Photography
The photography event starting at 6:30 p.m. sparks the question, “What you should be looking for when you take a photo?”
Enjoy a relaxed, informative conversation with Estuary magazine’s Creative Director Chris Zajac and Publisher Dick Shriver. Together they will share how they select the photos that are used in their publication.
Registration is appreciated at this link, but walk-ins are welcome too.
