OLD LYME — On Wednesday evening, March 30, Christ the King Church will present a service of prayer, readings, and inspirational music so that those attending may come together to pray for peace. All are welcome.
Distressed by the war in Ukraine and unrest in other areas of the globe, as well as racial strife and political discord in our own country, the church yearns for an end to the turmoil, for peace in the world and in our hearts.
At this gathering, all will pray that God will lead them on a path towards an understanding of opposing viewpoints, cessation of conflict, and inner peace.
The Prayer Service for Peace begins at 6:45 p.m. with a choral prelude; the service itself starts at 7 p.m.
