
Lymestock 2018 will be held during this year’s Midsummer Festival on Saturday, July 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will take place on the stage running alongside the Lieutenant River at the Florence Griswold Museum, located at 96 Lyme Street, Old Lyme.
The festival will present New England’s Award winning young artists with Connecticut’s local aspiring youth performances. The concert is free to the public made possible through the support of the Connecticut Office of the Arts, Reynolds’ Subaru and Black Hall Outfitters & Marina.

NEMES, awarded the New England Music Award for Best in the State of Massachusetts, headlines the festival. Julia Russo — awarded Best Songwriter of the Year, Kate Callahan — Connecticut’s 16th Connecticut State Troubadour, and the award-winning Kala Farnham are also featured performers.
LymeStock 2018 brings together the best in regional talent across all genres: blues, jazz, indie, pop, Americana and classical.
Sophia Griswold and The Sound, A Teen Jazz Collective; Sophie Spaner, songwriter and songstress on ukulele; Indie artists, Letterhead and Drew Cathcart’s Forever Fool Trio will all perform during the afternoon.
The festival will be opened by Erik Simon-Vuoritie on classical guitar and River Run Band, formerly the Wallace Family Trio.
Food trucks will be on site or bring a picnic, blankets or chairs.
LymeStock 2018 at the Midsummer Festival is a Youth in Music initiative of MusicNow Foundation, Inc. serving Southeastern Connecticut and beyond. The concert is presented in collaboration with the Florence Griswold Museum, the Old Lyme Arts District and Midsummer Festival.
MusicNow Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization based in Old Lyme and is dedicated to the support of live music to engage, educate and enrich young artists through performance opportunities, enrichment workshops, and collaborative mentorships/ internships to nurture creative and artistic development.
