The Lyme Public Library opened in its new building yesterday morning. The building had been under construction for a year and features a 70 person program/meeting room and two smaller conference rooms, a self-contained children’s room, and a quiet reading area with a fireplace.
In addition to staff, Library Board members and members of the Friends of the Library were on hand to welcome patrons and help them find materials.
The Library is located at 482 Hamburg Road in Lyme. Regular Library hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Library is closed Sundays and Mondays.
