Old Lyme Land Trust Hosts Plum Island Presentation at Annual Meeting

OLLT_header-logo_443The Old Lyme Land Trust will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, March 17, at the Lymes’ Senior Center on Town Woods Rd. from 3 to 5 p.m.  All are welcome.

The speaker for the meeting will be Attorney Charles Rothenberger of “Save The Sound.”  His presentation, “Preserving Plum Island for Future Generations,” will provide a brief historical background of the island and the important natural resources of the island.

Rothenberger will present the federal effort to sell the island and then discuss the ongoing efforts to save it.

His timely presentation will be of great interest to all residents living on or near the Sound

There will also be an election of board members for the 2013–2014 year and a discussion of the Trust’s many accomplishments of the past year.

Refreshments will be served.
