LYME — Marianne Goetze Pfeiffer died peacefully at her home in Lyme Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021. She was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1925 and fled to the United States in 1934 …

Marianne loved the outdoors. The natural world was her favorite garden. The trails she blazed at Hartman Park, Bushy Hill, as well as Watch Rock are enjoyed by the young and old alike …

Marianne’s final years were spent with son John and his wife Marga; granddaughter, Aubris; and grandson Dane. They grew up with her and called her “mother nature”.
