Reminder: Special Town Meeting Tonight to Decide Vacant Region 18 Board of Education Seat
Old Lyme voters will choose a successor to Susan Fogliano to serve on the Region 18 Board of Education through the November 2027 municipal election

A special town meeting will be held in the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School auditorium at 6 p.m., today, July 21, to choose a successor to Board of Education member Susan Fogliano. The person elected will serve through the November 2027 municipal election. Fogliano was elected to a four-year term in November 2023 but resigned June 26 because of a pending move to Essex.
Only registered voters who live in Old Lyme may vote in this Region 18 election.
Republican Brandy Campbell and Democrat Marianne DeBruyn have publicly announced their interest in the position. Democratic Registrar of Voters Jennifer Datum said additional nominations may be made at the meeting.
