Bethany Susan Dubreuil passed away at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.

She was born in New London, Connecticut, on May 9, 1958, to the late Alphonse Theodore Dubreuil and Marilyn (Bindloss) Dubreuil. For over 30 years, she served as a nurse at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut, where her commitment to patient care touched many lives. In 2019, she moved to St. Thomas, USVI, and continued her work at Schneider Regional Medical Center, carrying her kindness and expertise with her.

She was well known and warmly regarded in the communities where she lived, especially during her years in Old Lyme. Many remember her familiar presence at her children’s school events, her summers spent at Mile Creek Beach Club, and her time rowing with the Blood Street Sculls. After returning to St. Thomas, her door was always open to friends and family seeking a warm welcome and a brief escape to paradise. She cherished her time at Lindquist Beach, where “Sunday Fundays” with close friends became a beloved tradition filled with relaxation, laughter, and good company.

She was predeceased by her brother, “Teddy” Dubreuil, and her sister, Denise (Dubreuil) Munroe.

She is survived by her fiancé, Terris Bynum, and sisters, Karin Dubreuil and Monica (Dubreuil) Giaconia. Her legacy will be her children, Matthew Rice, Lucas Rice, Samuel Clark, and Charles Clark; and her grandchildren, Marley Rice, Kameron Rice, and Zoey Clark.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, and details will be shared as they become available. Please reach out to a member of Bethany’s family for updates.
