Duck River Garden Club to Host Native Seed Workshop, March 18

OLD LYME, CT – The Duck River Garden Club will present a program on native seed saving for plant propagation on Wednesday, March 18, at the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall.

Attendees will learn which native plants produce long-lasting seeds, how to identify and collect ripe seeds and proper methods for processing and storing them. The session will be led by Lydia Pan, Ph.D., a retired biomedical scientist and environmental steward focused on biodiversity.

The schedule includes a 6 p.m. meeting, 6:40 p.m. social and 7 p.m. program. The public is welcome and donations accepted. More information is available at www.duckrivergardenclub.org.
