Lyme-Old Lyme Boys Basketball Team Notch Decisive Win Against Westbrook, Girls Show Progress in Loss

In mixed results against Westbrook High School, the Lyme-Old boys basketball team delivered a 71–38 win and the girls lost 41–27.

LYME/OLD LYME, CT – In mixed results Tuesday against Westbrook High School, the Lyme-Old boys basketball team delivered a 71–38 win and the girls lost  41–27.

The boys improved to 5–1 overall and remained unbeaten in the Shoreline Conference at 4–0.

Ethan Trepanier led the boys team with 18 points, while Connor Vautrain added 13.

Old Lyme will host Nathan Hale-Ray High School Friday at 7 p.m.

In the girls’ game, Coach Christine Corah said the girls were trailing 22–10 at halftime before making “many great changes” in the second and third quarters. They remained unable to secure the win. 

Reagan Christopher led the Wildcats with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks. Sybil Neary delivered seven points, 10 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal. Lily Reynolds finished with four points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal, while Vicky Glaras contributed three rebounds, one assist and three steals.

The girls will play Hale-Ray in East Haddam on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
