OLD LYME, CT – On Sunday, May 3, at 9:30 a.m., Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church will host Elizabeth Kaeser, executive director of the Connecticut River Museum, for its Griswold Forum.

Kaeser will deliver an illustrated presentation focused on the museum’s recent Environmental Summit, which convened scientists, policymakers, academics and cultural leaders to explore challenges facing the Connecticut River watershed. Her talk will highlight key themes from the gathering and the museum’s broader role in fostering environmental awareness and stewardship.

Founded in 1974, the Connecticut River Museum in Essex is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the Connecticut River Valley. The institution maintains significant collections of manuscripts, books, art and artifacts, and offers educational programming for visitors and the wider community. Each year, the museum introduces thousands of schoolchildren to the stories of the river and the communities connected to it.

Kaeser brings nearly 25 years of experience in museums and nonprofit organizations, with a background spanning development, operations, strategic planning, historic interpretation and education. Before joining the Connecticut River Museum, she led fundraising and institutional advancement efforts at Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site in Philadelphia and served as a senior educator at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. Kaeser has also held roles at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and in New York at the Hudson River Museum and the Merchant’s House Museum.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Vassar College and a master’s degree in museum studies from New York University.

The talk is open to the public, and coffee will be available. The church is located at 82 Shore Road.
