He is survived by his children, Renata Gray of Ledyard, Robert LaCombe of Westbrook, Katherine Lempicki of Ivoryton, Donald LaCombe of Florida, David LaCombe of Essex, Donna Cardwell of Virginia, Ellen Wolfe of Old Lyme, Carole Kus of Rhode Island, and Kimberly Dart of Oakdale …

He was Pops, and Gramps to his 18 grandchildren, and GGpa to his 11 great-grandchildren …

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends,  … as well as his dedicated and lifelong friend Wayne Smith of Old Lyme.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, Old Lyme. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in the First Congregational Church, 2 Ferry Road, Old Lyme. Burial with military honors will follow at Duck River Cemetery.
