Lyme-Old Lyme Senior Softball All-Stars Begin Quest for Return Trip to World Series

The Lyme-Old Lyme Senior Softball All-Stars began their state tournament run with a 15-0 victory as they pursue a second straight World Series berth.

LYME/OLD LYME, CT – The Lyme-Old Lyme Senior Softball All-Star team has begun its bid for a second consecutive trip to the Little League Softball World Series.

The team posted a 15-0 victory over Haddam-Killingworth in its opening state tournament game on July 2 in Waterford and will play Enfield on July 7.

The team, which includes players from Lyme-Old Lyme, Essex, Deep River, Chester and Montville, advanced to the state tournament after last year’s postseason run.

In 2025, the team won the Connecticut state championship, captured the regional title in Worcester, Mass., and advanced to the Little League Softball World Series in Delaware. Representing the East Region, the team competed against top teams from across the United States and around the world, including squads from the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Czechia.

The athletes are scheduled to continue state tournament play at Brainerd Park, 137 Brainard Road, Enfield, on July 7. They will be in Waterford on July 9 to play Bristol at Waterford Little League Fields, Gardiners Wood Road.
