Letter to the Editor: St. Louis Endorses Labriola for 23rd House District

Lyme Republican Selectman Tom St. Louis says Barbara Labriola supports local control, open space and making sure small-town values are heard in Hartford.

To the Editor:

As Selectman for the Town of Lyme, I know how important it is to have dedicated, common-sense leadership advocating for our community. That is why I am proud to endorse Barbara Labriola for state representative.

Barbara brings a wealth of experience and genuine passion to public service. Gov. Rell appointed her as chair of the Connecticut Real Estate Commission, a position that enabled Barbara to build appreciation for perspectives from across the state.  At a more local level, Barbara served as a long-time town clerk, so she has a deep understanding of municipal functions and needs. Additionally, in her current role as Old Saybrook’s town treasurer, Barbara has proven to be an excellent steward of town resources, delivering investment returns that exceeded budget expectations.

Barbara is committed to fiscal responsibility, supporting local control of zoning and education, protecting open space and ensuring our small-town values are heard in Hartford. Her endorsement by the Independent Party reflects Barbara’s openness to the perspectives and concerns of others: Barbara listens carefully and works collaboratively, and will bring practical, real-world solutions to the state legislature.

Sincerely,
Tom St. Louis
Lyme

Editor’s Note: St. Louis is a member of the Board of Selectmen and the Lyme Republican Town Committee.
