Letter to the Editor: Campbell Brings Collaborative, ‘Excellence-Driven’ Approach

The letter says Brandy Campbell’s background in science and excellence-focused approach would make her a strong addition to the Region 18 Board of Education.

To the Editor:

Over the last 2 years, I have come to know Brandy Campbell and her views on our school system.

Brandy, the mother of two children in the Lyme/Old Lyme school system, is extremely intelligent and has the right dedication to all efforts she undertakes. She is a Ph.D. veterinarian and scientist with current involvement in the development of AI in the workplace. That is a key attribute for a Board of Education member given the relevancy of this technology presently.

Brandy also brings an excellent analytical and logical approach to decision-making. As she has said in her previous debate and presentation to township voters, she is a woman willing to reach across political stripes and work with others to make sound decisions and set “excellence-driven” directions.

Her education, diligence, fair-mindedness and knowledge of technology combined with strong ethical principles make her the ideal member of our Board of Education.

For the reasons set forth above, I strongly endorse Brandy Campbell for the Board of Education membership to be voted on Oct. 6.

Please join me in voting for the most qualified and focused candidate for this position.

Respectfully,
John G. Flick
Old Lyme
