Letter to the Editor: Wisialowski Has Experience and Temperament to Become House Leader
An Old Lyme resident cites Jane Wisialowski’s public service, professional experience helping vulnerable residents and collaborative approach.
To the Editor:
Please join me in voting for Jane Wisialowski for state representative. Jane’s experience and temperament make her an ideal candidate for this office.
Jane has lived in Old Saybrook for decades and has an extraordinary record of public service. Her commitment and her passion are in helping others. Jane serves on Old Saybrook’s Board of Selectmen and Board of Education, and is on the Valley Shore YMCA board. She previously served on Old Saybrook’s Parks and Recreation Commission. Of particular relevance to Jane’s ability to represent our vulnerable citizens, she now works as a professional conservator and fiduciary appointed by the state probate judges. In this position, Jane works daily with seniors and others with disabilities, helping them navigate the difficult financial challenges they cannot manage on their own.
Through these volunteer and professional roles, Jane has developed a broad understanding of the needs of our 23rd House District community and the ability to address them effectively. She also benefits from the multiple skills gained during her very successful earlier career in business, which included launching an international start-up in Australia.
Jane’s background, combined with her stubborn insistence on listening to and collaborating with others, ensures that her impact in the General Assembly will be noteworthy. Off the bat, Jane intends to address the financial constraints facing so many of our citizens, from property taxes to energy bills to affordable healthcare. In the future, I expect her to become a leader in the House.
Let’s elect Jane on Nov. 3.
