OLD LYME, CT – Christ the King Church is seeking donations for the King’s Rummage Sale, the centerpiece of the church’s annual Harvest Festival set to run Sept. 19-20.

Organizers in a news release said they are accepting gently used household goods, books, furniture, small appliances, toys, sporting goods, jewelry, artwork, linens and other saleable items. All donations should be clean and in good condition.

Donations will be accepted at the church’s Parish Hall from Sept. 1 through Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, excluding Sunday, Sept. 6, and Labor Day, Sept. 7. Additional evening drop-off hours will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, and Thursday, Sept. 10.

A list of accepted and prohibited items is available at the church’s website. Those wishing to donate very large or upholstered items are encouraged to contact the church before delivery by emailing CTKHarvestFestival@gmail.com or calling the office at 860-434-1669.

Organizers noted that clothing and shoes will not be accepted. However, winter coats will once again be collected for the St. Vincent de Paul Coat Drive.

The annual Harvest Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Road, Old Lyme. In addition to the rummage sale, the festival will feature a silent auction, bake sale, children’s games and crafts, food, live music and an autumn plant sale.

Most rummage sale items will be offered Sunday at half price while supplies last.
