Summer Art Exhibitions Open July 24 at Lyme Art Association
Visitors can explore three exhibitions, meet artists at an Aug. 1 reception and view works ranging from hyperrealism to abstraction through Sept. 11.

OLD LYME, CT – The Lyme Art Association will present three exhibitions from July 24 through Sept. 11, featuring works by some of its most accomplished artists, a diverse collection of member artwork and a guest exhibition from the New Haven Paint & Clay Club.
The Elected Artists exhibition showcases work by Lyme Art Association members who have been chosen by their peers after at least five years of successful participation in the organization’s exhibitions. The annual show highlights artwork by some of the association’s most accomplished artists.
The other in-house exhibit, Expanding Visions, departs from the association’s traditional focus on representational art to include a range of artistic styles from hyperrealism to nonrepresentational abstraction.
Also on display will be the New Haven Paint & Clay Club’s Selected Members Exhibition. Juror Nathan Lewis evaluated the club’s 2025 members exhibition to select five artists: Ed Lisi, Christopher McLaughlin, David Ottenstein, Greg Shea and Janet Warner.
An opening reception for the three exhibitions will be held Aug. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Lyme Art Association is located at 90 Lyme St. Admission is free. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
