LEGO Masters Star Corey Samuels Coming to Old Lyme Midsummer Festival for Interactive Design Showcase

OLD LYME, CT – LEGO builders of all ages are invited to take part in a LEGO Design Showcase hosted by Nautilus Architects during the Old Lyme Midsummer Arts Festival on Saturday, July 25.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature displays of LEGO creations submitted by community members, interactive building activities and appearances by Corey Samuels, a champion of the television series LEGO Masters.

The day begins with the opening of the LEGO Design Showcase Gallery at 10 a.m., followed by a presentation by Samuels at 11 a.m. on creativity, design inspiration and his experience on the show.

Additional highlights include a 1 p.m. meet-and-greet with Samuels and a 2 p.m. interactive build challenge featuring family-friendly activities, including a Leaning Tower Challenge. The event concludes with closing remarks at 3 p.m.

The event will be held at Nautilus Architects, 9 Halls Road. Nautilus Architects Principal Christopher Arelt, a graduate of Yale University and Duke University whose architectural work has been recognized with multiple Innovation in Design Awards and featured in Cottages & Gardens, hopes to inspire future architects, engineers, artists and designers through the day’s events.
