Old Lyme Historical Society Features Music and Memories at 21st Annual Meeting, June 8

The event will include the Deep River Junior Ancients Fife & Drum Corps, an historic postcard slideshow and exhibits celebrating the country’s 250th anniversary.

OLD LYME, CT – The Old Lyme Historical Society invites members, friends and neighbors to celebrate Old Lyme’s past, present and future at its 21st Annual Meeting, June 8.

The historical society, at 55 Lyme St., will host the Deep River Junior Ancients Fife & Drum Corps from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

A business meeting follows from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with the presentation of the James Brewster Noyes Award, new board member inductions and officer elections.

An opportunity to mingle will follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. as guests view a looping digital postcard presentation showcasing historic images and memories of Old Lyme, along with exhibits focused on 1776, 1876 and 1976 in celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary.

Light refreshments, wine, beer and soft drinks will be available.
