Old Lyme Town Band Continues its 50th Season with Hometown Holiday Favorites, Sunday

Musicians of all ages will bring holiday favorites to the Lymes’ Senior Center on Sunday for a free concert by the Old Lyme Town Band.

OLD LYME, CT – Musicians of all ages will bring holiday favorites to the Lymes’ Senior Center on Sunday for a free concert by the Old Lyme Town Band. 

The show begins at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

The band — revived from the original town ensemble that played from 1886 to 1910 — is now celebrating its 50th anniversary season. The band has grown to more than 50 members and continues to provide summer and holiday concerts to shoreline and river valley communities. 

In addition to seasonal favorites, the band is known for performing movie medleys, traditional marches, showtune favorites, and Americana selections. 

The Lymes’ Senior Center is located at 26 Town Woods Road.

The band will play another free concert in Old Lyme at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 at Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Road. 

On Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m., the band will perform at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook. Tickets can be purchased from The Kate for $10 through this link
