Whiffenpoofs Bring A Cappella Energy to Old Lyme for New London Homeless Hospitality Center Benefit, Tonight

The NLHHC promises world-renowned harmonies blending jazz standards with contemporary tunes from 14 Yale students known worldwide as the Whiffenpoofs.

OLD LYME – Yale’s renowned a cappella group is coming Sunday to Old Lyme for a concert benefitting the New London Homeless Hospitality Center (NLHHC).

The NLHHC promises world-renowned harmonies that blend jazz standards with contemporary tunes from 14 Yale students known worldwide as the Whiffenpoofs.

The performance will be held Sunday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, 5 Ferry Road. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

The Whiffenpoofs, founded in 1909, is billed as the country’s oldest collegiate a cappella group. Members perform more than 200 concerts across six continents each year.

The concert will be followed by a reception with wine, appetizers, and a chance to learn more about how donations to the NLHHC help create housing solutions.
