OLD LYME—Tomorrow, Old Lyme Hardware will host an Easter Egg Hunt in the store starting at 10 a.m. All are welcome.
Some 40 children participated in the Hunt last year. This year, Talerico plans to hide 1,000 eggs filled with candy, toys and cash.
Asked why she hosts the Easter Egg Hunt—now in its fourth year—Jessica Talerico, the co-owner of Old Lyme Hardware, told LymeLine, “Initially we thought the Easter Egg Hunt would be a fun way to bring people into the store that hadn’t been in yet – to show we were making some changes. The families that came loved it, and so did we! After that first egg hunt, it was decided we had to make this a tradition at the store for the community and for us.”

To raise proceeds to fund the event, the store is currently hosting a raffle with all proceeds going towards the store’s Easter Egg Hunt. Tickets are $10 each and the prizes on offer are a gas-powered Ooni Pizza Oven or a 28” Blackstone Griddle. The first winner drawn can make his/her own choice of prize.
The draw will be held April 12 and the winner does not need to be present.
Also, on April 12, between 10 a.m. and 12 noon, the Easter Bunny will be hopping by both Old Lyme Hardware and The Bowerbird.
