The Masterworks Chorus and Cappella Orchestra will perform Schubert’s Mass in G Major. A specially curated program will follow with a selection including one seminary student’s patriotic anthem, the first recorded American spiritual, a Gospel sorrow song made famous by Mahalia Jackson and a modern setting for a James Agee poem.
The performance will take place in the historic Andrews Memorial Auditorium at Clinton Town Hall, 54 East Main St. A complimentary reception will follow in the Green Room on the first floor.
