Girls End Losing Streak, Boys Suffer First Conference Loss in Lyme-Old Lyme Basketball
The boys slipped to 10–1 in the Shoreline conference, while the girls picked up their second win of the season after more than a month without a victory.

LYME/OLD LYME, CT – Tuesday’s Lyme-Old Lyme High School basketball games against Portland ended a long drought for the girls while resulting in the first conference loss for the boys.
The boys could not eke out a win, falling 68–64 to the Highlanders.
Colman Curtiss-Reardon led Lyme-Old Lyme with 15 points, followed by Will McKeever with 14 and Eddie Fiske with 11.
Lyme-Old Lyme is now 11-2 overall and 10-1 in the Shoreline Conference.
The Wildcats play Valley Regional High School on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
On the girls’ side, Lyme-Old Lyme Coach Christine Corah announced the 42-23 win over Portland in a jubilant email after the team went winless for more than a month.
“WE WONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! The girls played INCREDIBLY and I am beyond proud of their performance,” she wrote.
Jillian Kleefeld led with 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Sybil Neary had 10 points and 13 rebounds, along with an assist and a block. Lily Reynolds added eight points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Addi Sapia scored six points and made three rebounds, three steals and one assist.
Vicky Glaras delivered three points, 11 rebounds, three assists, five steals and a block. Reagan Christopher finished with four points, three steals, two rebounds, an assist and a block, and Viv Boller contributed three rebounds and three steals.
The girls are 2-12 overall and 2-9 in the conference.
They play Valley at home on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
