Old Lyme Officials Monitoring Weather Ahead of Memorial Day Parade
Rain could alter plans, with officials set to decide Monday morning whether the traditional parade will proceed or the ceremony will move indoors.
OLD LYME, CT – With rain threatening Old Lyme’s Memorial Day plans, the Old Lyme Fire Department said officials will decide by 10 a.m. Monday whether the parade will go on.
If the 11 a.m. parade is canceled, an indoor ceremony will be held in the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School auditorium, 53 Lyme St. Updates will be posted at www.facebook.com/oldlymefire.
The traditional parade and ceremony is sponsored by the Town of Old Lyme, the Old Lyme Fire Department, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1467 and American Legion Post 41.
