Reminder: Lyme Residents to Vote Tonight on Proposed $14.2 Million Budget

Up for consideration is the proposed $14.2 million town budget and a supplemental appropriation tied to snow removal and truck repair costs from the unusually snowy winter.

LYME, CT – Lyme voters will gather tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Lyme Town Hall, 480 Hamburg Road, for the Annual Town Meeting.

Voters will be asked to approve the proposed $14.2 million 2026-27 budget and a $119,000 supplemental appropriation for winter highway costs tied to snow removal and truck repairs during the unusually snowy winter.

The proposed budget would keep the tax rate steady at 14.50 mills through the use of $2.5 million from the town’s reserves.

Voting is open to registered Lyme voters as well as property owners whose property is assessed at $1,000 or more.
