Lyme-Old Lyme High School Student Thomas Kelly Wins First Place in Shoreline Arts Alliance Celebration of the Arts

OLD LYME, CT – Shoreline Arts Alliance recognized twenty-two emerging artists at its fifth annual Celebration of the Arts on June 25. Over $8,000 in scholarships were awarded to students from SAA’s 24-town region in Creative Writing, Dance, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Painting, Theatre, Visual Art and Vocal Music. The winners competed against talented peers for various scholarships, performing or presenting their portfolios and interviewing with professionals in their respective arts fields.

Lyme-Old Lyme High School student Thomas Kelly was awarded First Place in Dance with a scholarship of $1,000.

Since 1980, Shoreline Arts Alliance has evolved from an arts presenting organization to one that focuses on professional arts development, creating supportive communities in which artists thrive through recognition, mentorships, networking, and education. These communities encourage, empower and develop talented artists while transforming their lives.
