From a walk-off homer to a career-best golf round, local athletes put together some of their strongest performances of the season.

Baseball

Lyme-Old Lyme 11 – Old Saybrook 0

Rowen Meisner (1-3, 1 HR, 2 R, 0 BB, 2 RBI) and Zachary Troland (2-3, 1 R, 0 BB, 0 RBI) led Lyme-Old Lyme at the plate. Tanner Snurkowski (1-2, 2 R, 0 BB, 3 RBI) and Cal Lacourciere (1-2, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 RBI) combined for five RBIs, while Julio Fuentes (0-0, 3 R, 3 BB, 0 RBI) reached base three times and scored three runs.

Lyme-Old Lyme scored three runs in the second and added four more in the third to take control. Meisner ended the game with a walk-off two-run home run in the fifth.

Cal Lacourciere (4.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K) earned the win on the mound. Tristan Reyes (0.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K) closed it out.

Lyme-Old Lyme finished with five hits, nine RBIs, and six walks. Old Saybrook recorded two hits in the game.

Lyme-Old Lyme 9 – Hale-Ray 6

Rowen Meisner (3-4, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 RBI) with a triple, and Tanner Snurkowski (2-3, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 RBI) led Lyme-Old Lyme at the plate. Aidan Carpentino (1-5, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 RBI) also drove in two runs. Cal Lacourciere (2-4, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 RBI) and Tristan Reyes (2-4, 1 R, 0 BB, 0 RBI) each added multiple hits, while Julio Fuentes (1-3, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 RBI) contributed offensively.

Lyme-Old Lyme scored six runs in the third inning to take control of the game.

Kanato Oharu (4.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 7 BB, 4 K) earned the win on the mound. Julio Fuentes (3.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K) picked up the save.

Lyme-Old Lyme finished with 13 hits and turned two double plays defensively. Hale Ray recorded seven hits and drew nine walks.
