OLD LYME, CT – Gardeners and nature lovers are invited to two weekend programs at Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library focused on native plants and their benefits.

On Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m., the library will host a Native Seed Planting & Swap in its garden. Participants can pot a variety of native seeds to grow at home, share seeds with neighbors and learn about supporting local pollinators. Pots, soil and a curated selection of seeds will be provided. The event, perfect for gardeners of all experience levels, is presented in collaboration with the Old Lyme Land Trust.

On Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m., Diana Drake will lead the “Add Native Plants Now” talk  in the library’s Reading Room. She will offer guidance on selecting and planting native species for lawns and established gardens with examples from the library grounds.

Advance registration is requested for both events. Sign up using the library’s calendar.
