Log in at home or watch from the Phoebe Griffin Noyes library with members of Old Lyme’s Conservation Commission and Estuary Magazine.

OLD LYME, CT – The Old Lyme Conservation Commission, in partnership with The Watershed Fund, will explore avian habitats in the second seminar of the Connecticut River Watershed series.
The webinar, led by Audubon Vermont Director of Conservation Jillian Liner, will take place on Wednesday, April 8, at 6:00 p.m.
Liner oversees statewide efforts to protect and enhance priority habitats – from forests and riparian corridors to shrublands and grasslands – by building partnerships in support of birds and climate-resilient ecosystems. While working at Audubon New York for two decades, she co-wrote “Important Bird Areas of New York: Habitats Worth Protecting” and launched conservation initiatives focused on the most at-risk birds.
Organizers said most participants will join remotely, but an in-person viewing option is available at the Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library. Attendees there can also meet representatives from the Conservation Commission and the Watershed Fund’s Estuary Magazine.
The first seminar in the series on water quality with Andrew Fisk Ph.D. of American Rivers can be seen here.
